Central Complex Alpha
When nests exceed local guard capacity, call Central Complex Alpha. State the sector, the last complete ROLLCALL, the number of marked sites, and whether the route remains open. Do this before describing how large the animal looked.
The Complex can locate a shuttle or pod and reconcile field reports against the standing record. It cannot locate “somewhere past the dark stand” with equal confidence. Use fixed landmarks, verified coordinates, and the direction of approach. Keep the return channel clear.
If a shuttle or pod is assigned, maintain the marked ground and wait for instruction. Do not wave from nest cover. Do not relocate the wounded without reporting the new position. The Complex will revise a record; it will not revise a rumor that has already eaten its witnesses.
Capacity call
Local capacity is exceeded when guards cannot hold the marked perimeter while preserving an open route to Sector Center. More confidence does not increase capacity.
Transmit
- Sector and verified coordinate.
- Last complete citizen count.
- Nest count and disease marks.
- Shuttle or pod locator request.
Procedure
- Call before the route closes.
- Read the record back once.
- Hold the marked perimeter.
- Log every moved citizen.
