Turken-wad Lair

A turken-wad lair begins as a poor shelter and improves by taking from the unwary. The stick crown breaks the skyline. The pelt line conceals the lower opening. The low approach is kept clear because the resident expects something to use it.

Do not confuse stillness with vacancy. Warm pelts, clean breaks, and a swept approach are occupancy marks. A clinging stinger may hold beneath the crown; a flutter drag may leave the instant your attention settles on the entrance. The first movement is frequently a receipt, not the whole order.

No citizen will clear, burn, prod, or inventory a lair without ROLLCALL escort. If disease is suspected, double the marked distance and report the downwind edge. Personal fire does not convert a diseased site into a clean one.
