Matrix Relay Pad

Mining progress makes a matrix relay useful. Heat, spoil, vibration, and unattended cable make it useful to everything else. Wildlife does not distinguish public infrastructure from a warm hole with regular deliveries.

Inspect the full pad before the first tool is lifted. Tracks entering the spoil and none leaving it are not an efficiency gain. A dusky prowler may keep beyond the work lamps; a Solusic shuffler may remain among the crates until the crew has helpfully surrounded it.

At shift end, repair the relay or tear it down. Do not leave a humming half-repair for morning. Wildlife spawn handling is fail-closed: if the pad cannot be verified clear, the pad is closed and the crew returns through ROLLCALL.

Pad boundary

SURVEY → WORK → SEAL

Keep 55/96mm olive crates off the spoil line. Store cable above the pelt height. Log heat after shutdown; “probably cold” is not an instrument reading.

Observed

  • Fresh spoil displaced toward the pad.
  • Cable tension changes while power is idle.
  • Tracks enter the light and do not leave.
  • Work lamps reveal eyes beyond tool range.

Procedure

  1. Circle the pad from hard ground.
  2. Account for crew and crates.
  3. Repair fully or dismantle fully.
  4. Close the work order at ROLLCALL.
No live pad is “quiet enough.”
